Mehmet Akdaş is the Chief Technology Officer at European Merchant Bank, with over 25 years of experience in Information Systems, project management, application development and IT infrastructure & architecture, and extremely broad and hands-on experience in business continuity and disaster recovery for IT. His extensive background has made him proficient in leading complex IT projects and enhancing technological frameworks within the bank. Mr. Akdaş has extensive experience in managing multinational and distributed teams.

An expert in managing IT consultant teams, and business development for IT areas, Mr. Akdaş excels in IT Governance, IT Compliance, IT Risk Management, Information Security, IT Process Management, and Strategy Development for Information Systems and Services. After his degree in Boğazici University of computer science, he holds an MBA from Galatasaray University, which underpins his strategic approach to technology and innovation.
