European Merchant Bank (EMBank) has signed a cooperation agreement with Europcar, Europe’s largest car rental company. From now on, all EMBank customers in the Baltic States will be able to rent a car with a 10% discount, and the bank itself hopes that the cooperation with Europcar will promote sustainability, as the company’s fleet includes only the latest cars with little environmental impact.

According to Sarp Demiray, CEO of EMBank, the cooperation with Europe’s largest car rental company will not only be of great benefit to the bank’s customers, but also to the bank itself.

“We are happy to cooperate with the largest car rental company in Europe, which is guided by rich international experience and the highest service standards. Europcar pays a lot of attention to small and medium-sized businesses, so the values of this company and EMBank are the same. It is a great honour and recognition for us to cooperate with such a company,” says S. Demiray.

According to Europcar Lithuania, the collaboration with EMBank is a significant step in strengthening corporate mobility solutions across the Baltic region.

“Our short-term, long-term, and operating lease services allow small and medium-sized businesses to focus on their core activities without worrying about transport questions. In the Baltic countries, we place special emphasis on sustainable solutions, and we are proud that our vehicle fleet meets the highest environmental standards, contributing to a cleaner future,” says Einoras Čiagus,CEO of Europcar Lithuania.

S. Demiray, CEO of EMBank, is also pleased that the cooperation with Europcar will not only provide additional opportunities for customers, but also contribute to the bank’s own sustainability.

“By cooperating with Europcar, we will contribute to the promotion of sustainability, simply because the company’s fleet includes only the latest cars, which have little or no impact on the environment”. This is particularly important for Lithuania, as the country’s car fleet is one of the oldest in Europe, with the average age of cars in the country being just over 14 years,” says S. Demiray.

It is expected that the cooperation between EMBank and Europcar will also encourage companies to use cars only when necessary, as practice shows that there are a number of companies whose cars are parked most of the time or driven only a few times a day.
