Payment licenses allow companies, brands, or platforms to accept and process payment transactions, usually over a digital system. There are numerous different payment licenses available geographically. For example, the EU Payment License is in use within the European Union while an FCA Payment License is required to operate within the United Kingdom.
Payment licenses differ slightly from an EMoney license, which is specifically for operating a business that accepts digital forms of currency. If a business wishes to accept payments within a certain country or region, then usually a payment license is required by the governing financial body of that jurisdiction.
