CTF or Counter-Terrorism Funding is a set of regulations and laws that limit access and usage of financial services and additional funding to groups that are deemed to be terrorists. The European Commission is the governing body behind any Counter-Terrorism Funding regulations and laws and has been actively working towards eliminating the funding of terrorist groups within the EU.
CTF Audits involve the review of business practices, even if the company is able to show that the financial flows were from legitimate sources. Other segments like charitable donations, shell corporations, and corporate investments are also reviewed, and routine surveillance is also involved in the auditing process.
